Karatoyama Shinto Sumo is held at Hakui Shrine in Japan on September 25th every year. This ritual is said to be the oldest form of sumo in Japan, with a history of approximately 2,000 years.
My name is Eiichi Yoshioka. I was born on September 28, 1986. In addition to photographing festivals in Kanazawa and the Noto Peninsula, I also enjoy street photography throughout Japan and overseas. My photography career was initially inspired by the incredible natural beauty of the Noto Peninsula. I have continued to be involved with the community ever since, seeking ways to contribute as a photographer. In April 2014, I moved to Monzen-machi, Wajima City, in Ishikawa’s Noto Peninsula, and opened an advertising office, Tsuki-Noto. Today, I focus on community-oriented advertising production
