Just across the Texas border, in a small Mexican town called Reynosa, there's a shelter for the most deeply vulnerable migrants awaiting their asylum appointments in the hope of entering the U.S. legally. Their stay in this shelter can last more than six months and just outside the gates, the cartels wait to prey on them. I. had the opportunity to hear their stories and I was inspired by their strength and resilience, their patience and their grace in the face of terribly uncertain odds.
