This work is a series of photographs that depicts the story of my grandfather and son, who were unable to meet while my grandfather was alive, using a repair technique known as Kintsugi. This work is created by physically joining an old photograph of my grandfather with a printed photograph of my son. Kintsugi is a traditional craft that has been popular in Japan since ancient times and is originally used to repair broken vessels with gold lacquer. It is my hope that these photographs will be "meaningful" for my son and will remain in this world for as long as possible.

Japanese photographer and architect born in 1990. I call my works "Material Photographs" and explores the expression of photograph as a material.
