Shoal of Catfish

  • Photographer
    Jeremy Lafleur

This photo was taken in a marsh in Gironde (France) during a very hot summer day, early in the afternoon, when the lights are generally not "good" for photography. Catfish move in swarms just on the surface of the water when it is very hot. The contrasting image produced here like a Japanese print.

Passionate about sports, it was logical that I initially moved towards working in a press agency. I was thus published numerous times in the national press culminating in the Women's Football World Cup in France in 2019. Seven-time winner of the “Biggest Competition in the World” organized by PHOTO magazine, I have won numerous awards in various fields such as sport, wildlife, portraiture and even nudes. I am currently continuing work on cemeteries around the world, as well as on shipwrecks, in order to bring out what is most poetic about death and oblivion.
