This project is dedicated to Valencia and one of the oldest and most authentic districts of the city - district of Cabanyal, which buildings were declared a Site of Cultural Interest in 1993. Creating my photo collages I was embroidering different geometrical forms and lines on watercolour paper around printed photography of the Cabanyal buildings. In this way I tried to emphasise the colourful geometry and the variety of architectural forms, the special atmosphere and authenticity of the Cabanyal as a place out of time.

Irina was born in Donetsk, Ukraine in 1981. Due to the war beginning in Ukraine, she was obliged to move firstly to Kyiv in 2014, and then to Valencia, Spain in 2022. An economist by profession, Irina was always passionate about art, photography and handmade, but she found her professional calling in visual art only after moving to Spain. Irina works across photography and collage. She is an active participant of international photography exhibitions and photography awards. Together with other photographers her works were published in the book “100 Contemporary Ukrainian Photographers”.
