"Sweet Tea" Ex "jungle of Dunkerque" refugee Camp, France. 10 January 2022. ©Dave Canella / Memora The shot is part of "J'Existe", a reportage about the ex-jungle camps of Dunkerque and Calais in the North-France immigrant trade. It was taken during the night when sharing moments with people around the fire preparing for the cold night, in the Kurdish part of the camp which was only 20 meters away from the river. In January during the night temperatures goes below zero and sweet tea in "the Kurdish way" is the only way to warm the souls and the body before going in the tents.
