Religious Culture in Coastal Taiwan Every year, on the 23rd day of the third lunar month, it’s Mazu’s birthday. Followers of Mazu from different places hold various celebrations on the eve of her birthday. There are all kinds of performances and street parades to celebrate Mazu’s birthday.
