After three years in the U.S., I visited my grandparents’ house in Taiwan. In the garage, I found an old album of my grandfather’s travel to the U.S. before I was born. As I dug into the family album, those “new” old memories started to connect. I began to curate my memories not only with my grandfather but also memories with some family members. Memories I treasured from my past experiences stay etched in my mind, although I don’t have physical photographs as evidence. Therefore, I recreate memories, pull images from the 1980s, and print out screenshots of video calls in the 2020s.
