The color red has many positive connotations, as it is associated with new beginnings, passion, feminine power, and prosperity. Therefore, it is considered lucky to wear red, which is why we see it as the most dominant color in Hindu weddings. Red acts like the connector of two souls and holds the sweetest relationship being the root of faith, trust and friendship. The red color also symbolizes sensuousness and passion, marking a prosperous conjugal life for the newlyweds. This is the wedding of Chilpa and Chetan, celebrated in Lisbon, at the Hindu Community of Portugal.
