The elephant, Craig, is one of a small handful of giant tuskers in Amboseli Park. While the park is safe from poachers across the border into Tanzania, hunting elephants (with a permit) is legal. Three big tuskers have been killed in recent months by trophy hunters who have paid to kill some of the largest and most majestic animals on Earth.
