The ephemeral geometries of shadows have always exerted a unique charm, capable of freeing the imagination and creating surreal and impalpable images, made of “darkness”, of absence. I tried to create with shadows a suggestive effect of visual ambiguity: the subject is out of the frame and yet inside the scene! The aim of the work was to immortalise with images the “presence of an absence” by making the observer participate in this incredible visual suggestion.
