I was in Bangladesh last December to photograph in the Rohingya refugee camps. My angle was naturalization of the refugees, now that the influx had stalled. How they are starting a new life with new hope in the aftermath of the struggles and trauma that they’ve now left behind. I wanted to highlight their endurance, resilience and the beautiful quality of humans to find spirit and happiness even in the grimmest of situations.
I am a footloose shutterbug. I like to travel and collect stories of people and their lives. It gives me immense joy and satisfaction to photograph and document the lives of people belonging to diverse cultures. I live to tell the human story.
