15-year old Rohingya bride Ajida moments before marrying 23-year old Mohammed in an arranged ceremony in Kutupalong; the worlds largest Refugee Camp, Bangladesh. In 2017 the Myanmar milatery came to Hamsorpara village where Ajida, using rocket launches and machine guns they shot members of her community and burnt down their houses. With her parents, she ran for her life and spent 6 days hiding in the jungle and walked for 4 days to Bangladesh. In this photograph, we understand the suffering of the Rohingya people, but we see the innocence of a child whose life has been defined by genocide.
