This famous dead tree in the Deadvlei pan in the Namib-Naukluft Park in Namibia is the subject of numerous photographs. I have tried to juxtapose it against the Milky way and the star-studded sky with satellite trails providing a stark contrast - the long dead past and the promise of present technology.

I am a physician living in New York, with a passion for nature photography. I have been shooting nature and wildlife for almost 10 yrs now but have only begun competing in any local or national competition a month ago.
