In the remote Turkana region, camels are a sign of wealth - and the boys start learning to herd their family's livestock at a very young age. It was amazing how even the little-est of tots like this one herded these huge camels with confidence and ease across the dunes, to and from watering points.

I'm based in Singapore, a medical doctor by training; photography and my day job at Singapore's Health Promotion Board keep me happy in equal measure. I love travelling - especially to off-the-grid places, where the wifi is weak.
